Nov 16, 2019
USC football takes a huge 41-17 victory against California on Saturday night in Berkeley to move to 6-2 in Pac-12 conference play. Freshman quarterback Kedon Slovis threw for 406 yards and four touchdowns – first USC quarterback with back-to-back 400-yard passing games since Matt Barkley in 2012. The 406 yards through the air is Slovis's third 400-yard passing game this season, second-most in Pac-12. USC wide receiver Michael Pittman had 11 receptions for 180 yards and one touchdown; his third game this season with at least 10 receptions. California quarterback Devon Modster, who replaced starting quarterback Chase Garbers after he left the game in the first half due to an injury, was 11-for-22 passing for 95 yards and 2 interceptions. The Golden Bears fall to 2-5 in conference play and 5-5 overall on the season.
