No. 1 Stanford women's basketball suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday when it was upset 69-64 on the road by unranked Texas in Austin. The Cardinal had a chance to score a game-tying three with 4.8 seconds remaining but Texas stole the Cardinal's inbound attempt to clinch the game. Lexie Hull paced the Cardinal with a double-double (17 points, 14 rebounds) and Kiana Williams added 15 points but it was not enough to out last the Longhorns. The loss drops Stanford to 10-1 on the season. Stanford will get a chance to get back in the win column when it hosts UC Davis on Saturday before conference play begins in the new year.
