No. 15 USC football starts 5-0 for the first time since 2006 after defeating UCLA 43-38 in a wild finish for the Victory Bell on Saturday, Dec. 12. After trailing by as many as 18 points in the second half, quarterback Kedon Slovis connected with wide receiver Amon-Ra St.Brown on a seven-yard touchdown pass with 16 seconds left to dodge dropping their first game of the season. Slovis finished with 334 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions on 30-of-47 pass attempts. UCLA’s Greg Dulcich came away with the most single-game receiving yards by a Pac-12 player this season, ending with 167 yards and one touchdown. Despite outgunning the Trojans 549 to 444 in yards, the Bruins drop to 3-3 on the season.
