Oregon State football held on to defeat Cal 21-17 in Berkeley Saturday. Beavers quarterback Jake Luton threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Isaiah Hodgins and Artavis Pierce to score. Cal quarterback Devon Modster threw for 151 yards and a touchdown in the effort, while linebacker Evan Weaver neared his career high with 21 tackles, two of them sacks. The Beavers are now 2-2 in conference play, and the Bears are 1-3.
