Nick Rakocevic's fifth double-double (19 points, 13 rebounds) helped USC men's basketball take down the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles 71-58 in Los Angeles on Sunday night. The Eagles represented a familiar foe for USC head coach Andy Enfield. Enfield coached Florida Gulf Coast for two seasons including when the Eagles made the Sweet Sixteen in 2013 as a #15 seed. USC improved to 11-2 on the season and heads into conference play on a five-game winning streak. The Trojans will head to Washington State to take on the Cougars when Pac-12 conference play begins in the new year.
