UCLA dropped its second game of the season Monday night against BYU in the opening round of the Maui Jim Invitational. Sophomore Jules Bernard scored a team-high 16 points, while Cody Riley added 12 of his own in the contest. The Bruins held a 52-51 lead with 11:19 remaining, but the Cougars answered with multiple runs to outscore UCLA 42-31 in the second half on their way to a 78-63 win. UCLA will face hosts Chaminade in the next round on Tuesday.
