USC defeated Arizona State 31-26 Saturday afternoon in Tempe, giving the Trojans their second straight road win after dropping their first three. Freshman quarterback Kedon Slovis has another standout performance, throwing for four touchdowns and 297 yards in the first quarter alone – the most first-quarter passing yards by an FBS player since 2012. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown tallied a career-high 173 receiving yards, including a 95-yard catch-and-run touchdown; Michael Pittman Jr. also racked up a career-high 13 catches and 146 receiving yards. The loss was ASU's third in a row, but quarterback Joey Yellen thew for 292 yards and four touchdowns, setting a school record for most passing yards in a player's first career start. USC is now 5-2 in Pac-12 play and ASU is 2-4.
