After winning an NCAA title with the Bruins in 1982, UCLA alum Bruce Hayes would go on two years later to win Olympic gold in the 4x200 freestyle relay in Los Angeles. He would go on to be the first Olympic gold medalist to compete in the Gay Games (1990).
