Pac-12 celebrates 'Olympic Day' as conference with most U.S. Olympians of all time

"Olympic Day" is a day of recognition promoted by the International Olympic Committee each year on June 23rd to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games on June 23, 1894. The Pac-12 will look to continue its dominance of the Summer Olympics next year in Tokyo, Japan after winning 55 total medals in 12 sports during the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As of the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, the Pac-12 has produced 1,290 Olympians for Team USA (summer and winter), which is the most of any conference according to studies on the subject.
