Patrick Laird, tough California football defense is prepped to battle TCU in the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl

In his second season as California football's head coach, Justin Wilcox has built the program up to greatness -- from a tough defensive corps (held opponents to an average of just more than 21 points-per-game this season) to offensive standouts such as Patrick Laird (who's rushed for 932 yards and five touchdowns in 2018). On Dec. 26, the Golden Bears will go bowling for the first time since 2015 to take on TCU in the Cheez-It Bowl. Kickoff is at 6:00 p.m. PT / 7:00 p.m. MT.
