The Ducks pulled a late comeback in the fourth quarter, as Justin Herbert completed a three-yard pass to Travis Dye for a touchdown and threw to Jaylon Redd for a two-point conversion to give Oregon its first lead of the game at 25-22. However, Utah's freshman quarterback Jason Shelley answered back with a two-yard touchdown run, and Utes' Matt Gay tacked on a 24-yard field goal to help secure Saturday's win for the Utes. Armand Shyne shined for Utah posting 174 yards on 26 carries.
