Pac-12 Networks' Cindy Brunson and Joan Bonvicini recap No. 21 Arizona State's 60-47 redemption win over Arizona on Friday evening in Tempe. After previously falling to the Wildcats earlier in the season (51-39 Dec. 30), the Sun Devils turned up the heat under the leadership of Courtney Ekmark with 20 points, just three points shy of matching her career high. Kianna Ibis scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The senior earned her second double-double of the season and surpassed 1,000 points for her career at ASU. Arizona's Aari McDonald led the floor with 28 points and also added nine rebounds and three steals. This win caps off the first time that both Arizona State basketball teams beat Arizona in the same week in Tempe since March 1986 (The ASU women defeated Arizona on March 3, 1986, while the ASU men defeated Arizona on March 9, 1986).
