Stanford men's water polo took down arch-rival California to win the MPSF Championship by a final of 17-11 on Sunday in Berkeley. Tyler Abramson led the way for the Cardinal with four goals on six shots. Quinn Woodhead followed with three-for-eight shooting. Safak Simsek paced the Golden Bears with four goals on ten shots. The matchup between rivals was only set up after Cal shocked top-seeded USC the day before. But during the championship match, Stanford proved simply too much and will be taking home its seventh MPSF title. Stanford will now prepare to play in the 2019 NCAA Men's Water Polo Tournament.
