Pac-12 Networks' JB Long and Ben Francisco take a closer look at Washington baseball's 8-6 victory over No. 9 UCLA on Thursday night in Los Angeles. It was the first Pac-12 Conference victory for the Huskies and it came against one of the top programs in the country. Will Simpson provided much needed power for the Huskies, driving in three runs on a double and a home run. And Logan Gerling controlled the game for seven innings while allowing only one earned run to claim his first victory of the season. UCLA mounted a strong comeback effort, scoring five runs in the 8th inning to pull within one. But Washington's bullpen was able to escape with the lead and earn the Huskies the upset victory.
