Mike Mussina is elected to the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame, as announced Tuesday, and is the first former Cardinal to be inducted. Mussina joins Mariano Rivera, Roy Halladay and Edgar Martinez as the 2019 inductees. The right-handed pitcher played three seasons on The Farm from 1988-90, and helped Stanford grab its second straight national championship as a freshman in 1988. In his 18 major league seasons with two teams, Mussina went 270-153 with a 3.68 ERA and 2,813 strikeouts in 3,562.2 innings pitched, was a five-time All-Star and seven-time Gold Glove Award winner.
