Utah kicker Matt Gay earns Pac-12 Football Special Teams Player of the Week honors after kicking 2-for-2 on field goals and 5-for-5 on PATs against USC. Gay had seven kickoffs for 459 yards (65.6 average) with five touchbacks. His 33-yard field goal to open the second quarter cut USC's lead to 14-10, then added a 30-yard field goal as time expired in the second quarter, giving Utah a 20-14 lead. Gay leads the Pac-12 in scoring by a kicker per game (8.0) and field goals per game (1.43), and is a perfect 6-for-6 in the 30-39-yard range this season.
