BOULDER - CU's women's basketball team had been oh-so-close several times earlier in the season to beating ranked teams. The Buffs took No. 6 Stanford to overtime on the road and fell on a near-halfcourt buzzer-beater to the Cardinal in Boulder. They nearly overcame a 25-point deficit in a three-point loss to No. 8 UCLA. And they surrendered a six-point, fourth-quarter lead to No. 21 Arizona State just two days before No. 11 Arizona visited the CU Events Center on Feb. 23.

BOULDER - An early exit from last week's Pac-12 Tournament hasn't stopped the Colorado women's basketball team from the hardwood. The Buffaloes returned to practice this week in preparation for a potential postseason berth.
LAS VEGAS - Seventh-seeded Southern California got the upper hand on 10th-seeded Colorado for the second time in five days on Thursday. USC used a hot shooting performance to bring CU's hopeful run through the Pac-12 Tournament to an early close, 69-54.
