Stanford combined for a 5-under par score of 279 to charge into the second-round lead Monday at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club. The Cardinal improved 16 shots from Sunday's opening round and posted the lowest total of the day by 10 strokes.
Happy Homecoming
Southern California native Andrea Lee fired a 1-under-par 70 on Sunday at rainy Palos Verdes Golf Club to help No. 5 Stanford place second after the opening round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
Georgia-bound
Junior Andrea Lee and incoming freshmen Brooke Seay and Angelina Ye have accepted invitations to compete in the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur, April 3-6.
Cardinal junior Albane Valenzuela was also invited but is unable to participate.
Dobashi Tabbed
Associate head coach Lauren Dobashi has been named an assistant coach for the U.S. team at the Arnold Palmer Cup, June 7-9 at The Alotian Club in Roland, Arkansas.

The Stanford women's golf team has signed two accomplished student-athletes to National Letters of Intent, the program announced Wednesday.
