Washington rowers at the 2018 World Rowing Under-23 Championships enjoyed success across the board on Saturday. Five more Huskies qualified for A finals while Chase Deitner '21, rowing in the United State lightweight men's coxed four, won the bronze medal.
Washington rowers had a successful day across a number of events on the second day of the 2018 World Rowing Under-23 Championships on Thursday, highlighted by wins by three different Huskies in women's double sculls heats, as well strong finishes in the men's and women's eights heats.
Washington's men's eight won the Temple Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta Sunday, beating a crew from Oxford Brookes University and breaking the event record by five seconds. Earlier, the UW's Anna Thornton '19 won the Stonor Challenge Trophy.
Washington Rowing's men's eight won its Temple Challenge Cup semifinal and will race in the grand final Sunday at the Henley Royal Regatta, while two UW women's boats – the eight and the double sculls, saw their trip to Henley come to an end.
