Washington junior Mireya Grey and alumna Dominique Bond-Flasza were both selected to be a part of the Jamaican National Team at the 2019 World Cup, set to begin Friday, June 7. Jamaica's first game will be June 8 at 9:30 pm PT against Brazil. Grey is one of only four active Pac-12 players at the World Cup.
The Washington Huskies finished their spring season on the road, defeating the Western Washington Vikings 2-1. Ameera Hussen and Summer Yates scored the goals for the Huskies, with Yates also assisting on Hussen's goal. Dani Hansen and Siena Ruelas split time in net for the Dawgs, making a few key saves throughout the game to secure the win.
In their final home game of the spring season, the Washington Huskies erupted for seven goals, defeating Seattle Pacific 7-2. Seven different players scored for the Huskies as the team offense took over, jumping to a 4-0 lead early in the first half. Ruby Hellstrom had two assists in addition to a goal late in the second half. Summer Yates also had a goal and an assist as well as drawing a foul that led to a free-kick goal.
