No. 20 USC women's volleyball (5-3) captured the Trojan Invitational championship with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-15, 25-14) of Villanova (7-2) at Galen Center on Saturday, Sept. 14. It was the second straight sweep for the Women of Troy who were led by senior middle blocker Jasmine Gross, the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

The 20th-ranked USC women's volleyball team (3-3) went the distance to get a five-set win (25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-11) over Yale (0-5) at Galen Center on Friday, Sept. 13. The win is the Trojans' third straight home-opening victory as USC moves to 37-7 all-time in home openers.
