Sonny Dykes, 1st Year (0-0, 22-15 Career)

Introduced as the Bears’ 33rd head coach on December 6, 2012...Came to California from Louisiana Tech, where he served as head coach from 2010-12...In 2012 the Rajun Cajuns led the nation in both scoring and offense on their way to a 9-3 mark and as high as a No. 18 ranking...Compiled a 22-15 record in first head coaching stint, including a stretch of winning 16 of 17 regular season games over the 2011 and 2012 seasons...Returns to the Pac-12 after previously spending the 2007-09 seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Arizona Wildcats...Has a total of 18 years of collegiate coaching experience.  

Bryce Treggs, WR, 5-11, 175, SO

Played in nine games as a freshman in 2012, hauling in 21 passes for 216 yards (10.29 avg.) and one touchdown…His 21 receptions ranked third among California receivers…Was one of two Cal freshmen to average more than two receptions and 20 receiving yards per game…Registered season highs in receptions (3) and receiving yards (62) and caught a touchdown pass in his collegiate debut against Nevada…An All-American as a senior at St. John Bosco High School, he recorded 70 receptions for 1,377 yards and 11 TDs while posting 41 tackles and an 90-yard interception return for a touchdown on defense.

Nick Forbes, LB, 6-1, 235, RS JR

Ranked second on the team with 85 tackles (40 solo), including 4.5 tackles for loss (20 yards) and 1.5 sacks (11 yards) in 13 games as a redshirt sophomore in 2012...Collected eight or more tackles in six games…Registered three pass breakups, three fumble recoveries, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble, one interception  (26 yds) and one blocked kick…Missed the 2011 season after sustaining an injury during spring practice…Saw action in one game as a true freshman in 2010, recording one tackle in the season opener against UC Davis.
