WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- UCLA forward Darian Jenkins and ARIZONA goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman were named Pac-12 Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for the week of August 26-September 1, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.

Jenkins, a freshman from Riverton, Utah, was named Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals on the weekend to help the No. 2/4-ranked Bruins to the Notre Dame Adidas Tournament title after picking up wins over No. 20/25 Marquette and tournament host No. 7/4 Notre Dame. Jenkins was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player of the tournament after scoring the tying goal against the Golden Eagles and the game-winner over the Fighting Irish. The first-year player has scored a goal in each of the first four games of the season and leads the team with eight points.

Kaufman, a junior from Calabasas, Calif., earned Defensive Player of the Week Honors after pacing the Wildcats defense to two shutouts on the weekend and helping them remain undefeated at 3-0-1 on the year. Kaufman recorded 10 saves over two games, including three in a 6-0 victory over UC Irvine and seven against No. 24 Ohio State in a game that went to double-overtime and ended in a 0-0 draw.
