No. 1 Cal Ties No. 3 UW, 1-1, Stays Undefeated
BERKELEY — Top-ranked California remained unbeaten – but not in the way it wanted to – after its clash with third-ranked and fellow undefeated Washington on Sunday, as the Pac-12 Conference powers tied, 1-1, after two overtimes on Goldman Field at Edwards Stadium. Connor Hallisey scored a first-half goal for the Bears, whose record now stands at 7-0-2 (1-0-1 in the Pac-12). The Huskies (7-0-3, 1-0-1 Pac-12) scored late in regulation to tie the match.
Goals from Zach Batteer and Jordan Morris proved to be enough for Stanford Sunday at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium, lifting the Cardinal to a 2-1 win over Oregon State. The win gives the Cardinal (6-2-1, 1-1-0 Pac-12, three points) its first three points of the conference campaign and vaults it into the mix around the top of the table behind only Washington and California, which each have four points. Oregon State fell to 7-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play with the loss.
