Pavlovich Named to CS360’s Week-11 Primetime Performers Honor Roll

Nov 5, 2013

TEMPE, Ariz – Arizona State University soccer player Kaitlyn Pavlovich was one of 12 players named to CS360’s Week-11 Primetime Performers Honor Roll.

Pavlovich, a 5-9 senior from Gig Harbor, Wash., was instrumental in helping the Sun Devils go unbeaten this past weekend as they tied Colorado 2-2 on Friday and defeated Utah 2-1 in double overtime on Sunday.

In addition to her usual steady presence on the defensive end, Pavlovich made a big impact for the Sun Devils offensively in the two games, scoring two goals for the weekend. The two goals equaled her career total in her prior 54 games (47 starts) coming into the weekend.

Pavlovich’s goal against Colorado came with 35 seconds left in the first half, knotting the game at 1-1 at the half. Against Utah on Sunday, Pavlovich scored in the 87th minute to tie the game at 1-1 as the Sun Devils were desperately looking for the equalizer to send the game into overtime after Utah took the lead in the 75th minute. The Sun Devils would eventually win in double overtime on sophomore Cali Farquharson’s 10th goal of the season.

A starter in all 18 of ASU’s games this season, Pavlovich’s contributions on the defensive end have the Sun Devils on pace to record their best goals against average since 2007 (currently 1.11).

The Sun Devils (9-7-2, 4-4-2 Pac-12) close out the regular season portion of their schedule on Thursday (2 p.m. MT) when they travel to Tucson to take on Arizona in the annual Territorial Cup® Series. The game can be seen live on Pac-12 Networks.
