UCLA Advances to NCAA Quarterfinals with 2-0 Win over Stanford
The UCLA women’s soccer team needed two overtimes to beat Stanford back in early October. It turned out to be a little bit easier the second time around. The No. 2 Bruins shut out the No. 17 Cardinal, 2-0, Sunday to move on to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament. UCLA (20-1-2), which outshot Stanford (15-6-1), 8-3, will leave the friendly confines of Drake Stadium to face top seed North Carolina Saturday in Chapel Hill, N.C.
