Pac-12 announces women's swimmer and diver of the month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – STANFORD senior Felicia Lee was named Pac-12 Women’s Swimmer of the Month and UCLA freshman Annika Lenz was named Pac-12 Women’s Diver of the Month, the Conference office announced Tuesday. 

Lee was key in helping No. 7 Stanford win all five relay events at the Art Adamson Invitational on Nov. 21-23. She also produce two individual A-qualifying marks as she broke her own school record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.46 and won the 200 backstroke in 1:53.36. Lee turned in two B-standard efforts in the 50 free and 100 fly as well. Earlier in the month Lee won two individual events and contributed on two winning relay squads as Stanford took down No. 24 Wisconsin, 201-85.  

Lenz won four of the nine events she was entered in, including a perfect 4-for-4 in her first four collegiate events. She opened the month with 1-meter and 3-meter victories against UC Santa Barbara and Florida Gulf Coast, posting a 282.00 six-dive score in the 1-meter and a 290.75 in the 3-meter. In her first Pac-12 dual meet against Arizona, she again captured first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter, recording scores of 263.03 and 289.20, respectively. Lenz rounded out the month with two third-place finishes, one coming in the 1-meter at Arizona State (269.55) and another in the 3-meter at the Wildcat Diving Invitational where she posted a season-best 298.60.

This is the first-career Swimmer of the Month honor for Lee and the 10th overall for Stanford. Lenz’s first-career Diver of the Month honor is also the 10th overall for UCLA.
