Video: Roberto Nelson comes face-to-face with a raccoon

Jan 30, 2014

Oregon State's Pac-12 Player of the Year candidate Roberto Nelson, one of the team's most valuable players, was late to the Beavers' pregame shootaround prior to Thursday's home game against USC.

Why? He had an encounter with a curious raccoon. We’ll let our JB Long take it from here:

And while Long and his broadcast partner Lamar Hurd were as incredulous as OSU coach Craig Nelson, the encounter with the local wildlife didn't seem to affect Nelson's game. He led the Beavs with a team-high 24 points, including the go-ahead shot in overtime, as Oregon State topped USC 76-75.
