C.J. Wilcox moves to 2nd on UW all-time scoring list

Feb 22, 2014

As part of an impressive 86-62 rout of Oregon State on Saturday, Washington’s C.J. Wilcox became the Husky’s second all-time leading scorer.

After a few subpar performances the team's star guard exploded for a game-high 19 points against the Beavers, passing Jon Brockman on the program’s career scoring list with an array of scoring moves.

The prolific Wilcox -- who runs off screens and knocks down mid-range jumpers like NBA star Kevin Durant -- put on a show that will keep him in contention for Pac-12 Player of the Year, and also keep the Husky's outside chances at an NCAA Tournament berth alive.

Wilcox entered the season as the program’s 23rd all-time leading scorer. It was certainly inevitable, but he’s shot up the list with 1,814 points so far this season and will likely end his career just behind Husky great Chris Welp, who poured in 2,073 points as a Husky from 1983-1987.
