Video: Colorado's Bryce Bobo rumbles, stumbles in impressive spring game

Apr 12, 2014

Redshirt freshman wide receiver Bryce Bobo has been turning heads so far this spring. But his 67-yard grab in Saturday's Black & Gold spring game gave fans a preview of how the Buffs plan to overcome the loss of standout Paul Richardson.

Not only did Bobo reel in the deep ball, but he managed stay on his feet as he made it into the endzone for the black team's first score and got the Folsom Field crowd into the game.

"I was glad to see Bryce Bobo make a play on our black team on a big long catch," said coach Mike MacIntyre at halftime. "He has that ability. He's a big long athlete. He's had a good spring."

While the early strike was definitely the most explosive play of the day, the emerging offensive threat reeled in a 43-yard pass down inside the 10-yard line to set up another touchdown and the eventual game-winning score in a  21-17 black team victory.

The play prompted Pac-12 Networks broadcaster Jim Watson to exclaim "Bobo mojo." Buffs fans will be hoping for a lot more of that mojo throughout the season.
