Corvallis, Ore. – The No. 16 Oregon State men’s rowing team travels to Redwood Shores, Calif. to compete in the Stanford Invitational.

The Beavs are set to take on No. 1 California, No. 12 Wisconsin, and the University of San Diego. This will be the third consecutive weekend that Oregon State has faced a Top-15 nationally ranked team, and they continue to inch closer and closer with each race.

"We face San Diego on Friday, No. 1 California on Saturday morning, then a tough test against Wisconsin to finish things off,” said Head Coach Steve Todd. “The guys should be excited to get three great opportunities this weekend."

Oregon State’s Varsity 8 nearly topped No. 13 Stanford last weekend, coming within 2.46 seconds in the final sprint. This week, they are looking to continue forward as they approach the final stretch of the season.

"The team is coming off a short week of preparation,” Todd said. “But it's been a very productive week."

The Stanford Invitational kicks off at Friday at 5:50 p.m. PT in Redwood Shores, Calif., and continues through Saturday afternoon. For times and final results, check Twitter.com/beaverrowing and www.osubeavers.com.
