Cougar Men's Basketball Interviews Kids at Camp

Jul 29, 2014

PULLMAN, Wash. – It’s been said that ‘kids say the darndest things,’ and members of the Washington State University men’s basketball team discovered just that when they interviewed children at the 2014 men’s basketball day camp in late June.

The attached video shows rising-senior DaVonte Lacy, rising-junior Junior Longrus and rising-sophomore Que Johnson interviewing and being interviewed by attendees at this year’s Day Camp. The video shows what happens when basketball players ask the kids questions such as what they’d do if they could hang out with the team’s mascot, Butch T. Cougar, for an entire day, what their ‘crazy shirt’ means and their favorite part of camp; as well as their reaction when kids don’t quite recognize them from the team.

Day Camp is a tradition for the men’s basketball program and is set to take place again in the summer of 2015 in mid-to-late June.
