No. 5 Trojans Claim Bankers Classic Title With Five-Set Win Over Pacific

The fifth-ranked USC women's volleyball team (3-0) went the distance to earn a five-set win (25-17, 21-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-10) over tournament host Pacific (2-1) and claim the 2014 Community Bankers Volleyball Classic title at the Alex G. Spanos Center on Saturday, Aug. 30. Junior outside hitter Samantha Bricio was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player and was joined on the all-tournament team by freshman outside hitter Lauryn Gillis and junior middle blocker Alicia Ogoms.
