Video: Brett Hundley overcomes Virginia's defensive pressure, perseveres

Aug 30, 2014

There were the 12 penalties that set UCLA back 87 yards. There were two fumbles lost. There was Brett Hundley, under seige from the Virginia Cavaliers' defense throughout Saturday's game.

Yet Hundley perservered in UCLA's 28-20 road win on Saturday. After being hit countless times, the Bruins quarterback kept his cool and remained aggressive in finding plays when there wasn't much to work with.

Consider Hundley sticking in the pocket and delivering a first down on a critical third-down play during the fourth quarter, when the Bruins led by eight but needed to run out the clock. Or, take his spin-move late in the third quarter that helped him punch in UCLA's only offensive score in a game that required three defensive scores to win.

There wasn't much to work with, but Hundley isn't a Heisman candidate without reason. See these highlights and more, above.
