Video: JuJu Smith is Cody Kessler's new favorite target

Aug 30, 2014

Junior USC quarterback Cody Kessler had a big game himself. He threw for 394 yards and scored five total touchdowns in a 52-13 victory against Fresno State. Kessler distributed the ball to nine receivers by the time he was pulled in the fourth quarter and twice found leading returning receiver Nelson Agholor for a touchdown.

But the day also belonged to freshman JuJu Smith. The 6'2" wideout caught four balls for 123 yards in the first half. He didn't add any more receptions in the second, but the damage was already done.

The highlight reel above shows Smith doing everything in just a few touches, from making a sliding grab, to turning a screen pass into a huge gain, to coming back for a pass and shedding a tackle. Kessler hasn't taken long to find his No. 2 weapon.
