22 Make NFL Active Rosters
STANFORD, Calif. -- Former Stanford football players filled 22 slots on active rosters in the NFL as teams cut to 53 players today. Each team was required to trim its roster to the regular season maximum ahead of this week's season opener.
Of the 22 Cardinal, four head into their rookie seasons. Three other rookies were signed to practice squads and two are on reserve/injured rosters.
