Shaq Thompson scores two defensive touchdowns in Washington's win

Washington linebacker Shaq Thompson showed last week that he can score a touchdown as a running back. Thompson showed this week that he can do one better as a linebacker.

The junior scored two defensive touchdowns in the first half of Washington’s 44-19 win over Illinois.

Thompson got things started in the first quarter when he picked off Illinois quarterback Wes Lunt and took it back 36 yards for the score. He doubled up in the second quarter with a 52-yard fumble return for the touchdown featured above. That play stretched the Washington lead to 35-5.

Thompson finished the game with four tackles along with his two defensive scores.
