Meet the Cats: Ashley Harris Q&A

Q. Who influenced you to play Volleyball? Why?

A. I started volleyball actually because my mom played all throughout high school and then picked up an adult league for fun. Some of her teammates were coaches and told me I should really try volleyball out so I quit basketball and changed over.

Q. What type of player would you say you are?

A. A tall one! I think I am a quiet player, but I’m good at supporting everyone, talking to my teammates on the side line, and telling them what kind of shots to hit.

Q. What role do you play on the team?

A. Well Kalei Mau and I are switching off as the L2. So we are playing a huge role offensively and then we are both also taking our turns on the bench. We are staying humble and helping each other on the sidelines.

Q. What do you like most about the program?

A. I love all of our coaches and I love all of the girls. Everyone gets along and there is really good team chemistry this year and it makes it really easy to just want to get out there and practice everyday. Not to mention we have a brand new facility, so our locker rooms are sweet!

Q. Where is your favorite place to eat?

A. Zinburger

Q. What do you do on your off days?

A. I like to draw or go up to MountLemmon and take photos.

Q. What are your personal interests?

A. I like reading, writing, and drawing.

Q. What is your favorite movie?

A. I would have to say Pitch Perfect.
