AROUND THE PAC-12...

Road Warriors: Pac-12 teams continue to excel on the road in league play. The visiting teams posted three wins in four games last weekend and are now 14-4 in league road games.

Pac-12 Rematch: STANFORD visits ARIZONA STATE in a rematch of last season’s Pac-12 Football Championship Game. In rematches following the previous two Pac-12 Football Championship, the team which won the FCG followed with a victory in the regular season.

Can’t Touch This: Three FBS quarterbacks have attempted at least 100 passes this season without an interception and all three hail from the Pac-12 - OREGON’s Marcus Mariota (155 attempts), WASHINGTON’s Cyler Miles (129 attempts), and UTAH’s Travis Wilson (101 attempts).

Arms Race: In terms of the number of passes attempted, two of the Pac-12’s top three quarterbacks will get to ice their arms this weekend with an open date - WASHINGTON STATE’s Connor Halliday (FBS-leading 438 attempts) and ARIZONA freshman Anu Solomon (278 attempts)... Meanwhile, two signal-callers who have yet to throw a pick this season square off in Eugene where OREGON’s Marcus Mariota has not thrown a pick in 155 attempts this season, and WASHINGTON’s Cyler Miles remains clean in 129 attempts... In Berkeley, CALIFORNIA’s Jared Goff ranks fourth in the FBS with a 173.1 efficiency rating and will take on UCLA’s Brett Hundley who ranks sixth with a 170.1 efficiency rating. Hundley leads the FBS with a completion percentage of 72.2 percent... After an open date, OREGON STATE’s Sean Mannion returns to action. Following three open dates during his career, Mannion has responded by completing 89-of-132 (.674) for 1,192 yards and 8 TDs.

Go Long: With the deserved attention that the Pac-12 quarterbacks are receiving, equal attention should be spent on those who are catching the ball... Four Pac-12 receivers are averaging better than 100 yards per game - ARIZONA STATE’s Jaelen Strong (122.8 ypg), COLORADO’s Nelson Spruce (122.0 ypg), WASHINGTON STATE’s River Cracraft (112.7 ypg) and Vince Mayle (111.6 ypg)... Spruce leads the FBS with 10.3 receptions per game and 10 TDs... Prior to this season, there were a total of 28 pass plays in the history of the Pac-12 that were of 90 or more yards. The league already has five pass plays of 90 or more yards this season. No other season in the Pac-12 had more than two of that length... A total of 14 pass plays in the Pac-12 this season have been of 80 or more yards.
