WSU to Recognize Fourteen Seniors Prior to Apple Cup

Nov 26, 2014

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State football will recognize its 14 seniors prior to Saturday’s Apple Cup in Martin Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on FOX Sports 1.

The 2014 senior class is made up of cornerback Tracy Clark, linebacker Cyrus Coen, longsnapper Alex Den Bleyker, defensive lineman Lyman Faoliu, wide receiver Rickey Galvin, quarterback Connor Halliday, running back Marcus Mason, wide receiver Vince Mayle, wide receiver Isiah Myers, linebacker Mitch Peterson, defensive lineman Kalafitoni Pole, defensive lineman Jeff Waldner, running back Theron West and wide receiver Kristoff Williams.

The senior class was part of the 2012 Apple Cup victory, the largest come-from-behind win in series history, and later helped the Cougars get back to a bowl game for the first time since 2003, reaching the New Mexico Bowl in 2013.  A few members will leave with their names sprinkled throughout the school record book as Halliday closes his career as the WSU all-time leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions, completion percentage and 300-yard games while Mayle caps his two-year Cougar career as the school single-season record holder for receptions and receiving yards, both set this season. Myers ends his four-year WSU career among the school’s top-10 all-time leaders in receptions and receiving touchdowns as he enters his final game needing one touchdown catch to tie Jason Hill’s single-season record of 13 touchdown receptions set in 2005.
