Wildcats Add Trio for 2015 Season

TUCSON, Ariz. Head coach Rich Rodriguez and the Arizona football program announced the addition of three players for the 2015 spring semester as part of junior college National Signing Day on Wednesday.

Anthony Fotu is a defensive lineman from San Leandro, Calif. and a graduate of San Leandro High School. He’ll join the Wildcats in January with two seasons to play. He’s ranked No. 25 on the list of Scout National JUCO Prospects. Under head coach John Beam, he paced the Laney College squad to a 6-4 finish in 2014, winning five of their last six games to wrap the season. He collected 30 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. During his freshman season, the Eagles were 8-3 and won the 2013 Bay Bowl.

Paul Magloire is a safety from Lynbrook, N.Y. and a graduate of Lynbrook High School. He’ll join the Wildcats in January with two seasons to play. Under head coach Tom Minnick, he was an NJCAA Second-Team All-American and the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the 11-1 No. 5 Arizona Western squad. As a sophomore, he led the Matadors with 101 tackles while forcing a fumble and recording six tackles for loss. He also collected two interceptions with six PBU and three blocked kicks.

Starting his collegiate career at Appalachian State in 2012 and 2013, Magloire spent the 2011 season as a quarterback at Milford Academy with the Falcons going a perfect 12-0. As a high school senior, he led Lynbrook to the 2010 Long Island Class III Championship, accounting for 21 touchdowns and 10 two-point conversions.

Matt Morin is a tight end from Temecula, Calif. and a graduate of Chaparral High School. He’ll join the Wildcats in January with two seasons to play. Under head coach Tom Craft, he paced the No. 1 Riverside C.C. Tigers to a 10-2 record in 2014 and an appearance in a California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Regional final game. The Tigers were also SCFA National Central Champions.

Starting his career in January 2013 at San Diego State, Morin was a Rivals.com three-star recruit coming out of Chaparral in 2012 as a quarterback. He was ranked No. 42 in the 2012 ESPNU top California recruits list and was the 61st-ranked recruit overall in the state of California by Rivals.com. He joined the SDSU squad in January 2013 after graduating high school early.
