Dec 31, 2014

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State redshirt-senior nose tackle Kalafitoni (Toni) Polé has been selected to play in the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl, the association announced recently.

Polé is one of the talented draft-eligible seniors competing in the all-star game on Saturday, January 17 at StubHub Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised live on ESPN2. ESPNU will also air live broadcasts from practices on Wednesday, January 14 and Thursday, January 15.

Polé was a four-year letterwinner for the Cougars, appearing in 46 games and making 25 starts as the anchor of the defense. The Union City, Calif. native finished his career with 75 career tackles including 10.5 for loss and four sacks. Polé also blocked two kicks in his career, helping WSU beat USC in Los Angeles in 2013 with a blocked field goal attempt and also recorded a memorable interception in the 2012 Apple Cup victory, picking off a Washington pass on the first play in overtime to set up a game-winning field goal for the Cougars.
