Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott has issued the following statement on the passing of Washington State University President Elson S. Floyd:
On behalf of the Pac-12 Conference and colleagues across our member institutions, we are deeply saddened by the passing of President Elson S. Floyd of Washington State University. In addition to his profound impact on the WSU community, Elson's strong leadership of our CEO Group and determined advocacy for our student-athletes will be missed throughout the Conference and nationally. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
