LOS ANGELES – The UCLA men's basketball program has received a signed grant-in-aid agreement from transfer student Tyler Bilodeau, as announced on Friday by Mick Cronin, The Michael Price Family UCLA Men's Head Basketball Coach.

Bilodeau, a 6-foot-9 forward, will transfer to UCLA from Oregon State, where he played his first two seasons on the men's basketball team. He will enter the Bruins' program this summer with two remaining years of eligibility.

"We are thrilled to add Tyler to our Bruin family," Cronin said. "He is a high-character young man that I have seen develop in front of my eyes in the Pac-12. Tyler has become a very versatile threat on offense with the ability to score in the post and from behind the 3-point line. He has improved and grown his game with hard work and maturity. Tyler is a smart player who has been well-coached, and we believe that he will be a major asset for us in Westwood."

Bilodeau will begin his junior season with the Bruins in 2024-25, having played in all 64 games for Oregon State over the past two seasons. Hailing from Kennewick, Wash., Bilodeau has averaged 10.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 64 collegiate games. He has shot 50.5 percent from the field, 33.1 percent from 3-point territory and 80.4 percent at the free throw line in two seasons. He has scored at least 10 points in 36 career games and tallied three double-doubles as a sophomore in 2023-24.

At the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, Bilodeau was recognized as an NCAA Division I Academic All-District selection, an honor bestowed by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) to student-athletes who have maintained a minimum 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average (GPA).

Bilodeau ranked second on Oregon State's team this season in scoring (14.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg), while shooting a team-best 53.3 percent from the field. He ranked No. 10 among all Pac-12 players in overall field goal percentage (53.3%) and No. 11 in free throw percentage (79.8%). He scored in double figures in 26 of 32 games during the 2023-24 campaign with Oregon State and tallied a career-high 14 rebounds in a game against UCLA on Dec. 28, 2023, at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Ore.

Bilodeau will join an incoming UCLA class that includes three other transfer students (Skyy Clark, Eric Dailey Jr. and Kobe Johnson) and incoming freshman guard Eric Freeny.
