About two weeks ago, the United States Women's National Team hoisted the Women's World Cup for the third time. On Monday, one of the team's stars and a Pac-12 standout earned a rare and unique honor.
Alex Morgan, the California Golden Bears alum who helped the US earn its third star this year in Canada, will be one of three women to appear on the cover of EA Sports FIFA 16, the latest of the company's games in the smash-hit soccer video game series.
Along with Canada's Christine Sinclair and Australia's Stephanie Catley, Morgan will appear on the cover of the game alongside global soccer superstar Lionel Messi. The three of them are the first women to ever be featured on an EA Sports FIFA game, the company said in a blog post.
