SAN FRANCISCO - Six Pac-12 baseball players have been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) 2016 Preseason All-America Teams, the organization announced today. One student-athlete was named to the first team, two to the second team and three landed on the third team.

The Conference's lone representative on the first team was ARIZONA junior third baseman and starting pitcher Bobby Dalbec, a 2015 Baseball America second team All-American, who led the Pac-12 in home runs in 2015 with 15 on the season. He was a first-team All-Pac-12 honoree and was named to the Pac-12 All-Defensive team as well.

OREGON STATE sophomore first baseman KJ Harrison and OREGON junior relief pitcher Stephen Nogosek were second-team honorees. Harrison was named the 2015 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and was named a Baseball America Freshman All-American. Nogosek, also named a preseason All-American by Perfect Game, had a successful sophomore campaign out of the bullpen for the Ducks, posting a 6-3 record and a 2.02 ERA while striking out 60 batters.

CALIFORNIA junior starting pitcher Daulton Jefferies, a 2015 first-team All-Pac-12 honoree and a 2016 preseason All-American by multiple publications, was a third-team honoree along with UCLA's Griffin Canning and Oregon's Matt Krook, both sophomores and both starting pitchers. Canning was a second team NCBWA Freshman All-American in 2015 after posting a 7-1 record and a 2.97 ERA in 15 appearances. Krook, a 2014 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, returns to the Ducks' rotation after missing the 2015 season due to injury.

With 28 College World Series National Titles including four of the last ten, the Pac-12 looks to continue its dominance in the ranks of collegiate baseball in 2016. Pac-12 Baseball has enjoyed unprecedented exposure thanks to the Pac-12 Network which will air 101 games in 2016. Above all, the Pac-12 Network has provided the opportunity to showcase the exceptional talent Pac-12 Baseball has to offer and allowed the student-athletes to get the national and widespread exposure and attention they deserve.
