Pac-12 Softball Players of the Week for Feb. 28

Player of the Week: Mo Mercado, Arizona
• 5 GP, 6 R, 1 HR, 11 RBI, .846 AVG
• Led Arizona with an .846 batting average in 13 at-bats at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
• Had multiple hits in each of Arizona’s five games, including a three-hit effort in the Wildcats’ 21-2 win over LIU Brooklyn.
• Drove in a team-high 11 runs and scored six of her own
• Had three doubles and a homer, helping her to a 1.308 slugging percentage; also drew three walks for an .875 on-base percentage
• Hit Arizona’s first grand slam of the year vs. Purdue 

Pitcher of the Week: Danielle O'Toole, Arizona
• 3 GP, 16 IP, 2-1 record, 0.44 ERA, 23K
• Allowed one run in 16 innings pitched at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, going 2-1 for the Wildcats in Palm Springs.
• Threw a three-hitter vs. No. 1 Florida State with eight strikeouts, with the only FSU run scoring on a UA defensive blunder.
• Gave up just seven hits all weekend while striking out 23.

Freshman of the Week: Alyssa Barrera, Utah
• 5 GP, 4 R, 3 RBI, .438 AVG
• Led the team in runs and hits this weekend as the Utes defeated No. 13 Tennessee 3-0 and No. 7 LSU 3-0.
• Has reached base safely in all 13 games this season.
• Slugged .563, good for second on the team.
