NORMAN, Okla. – The college golf season has been over for nearly a month but the awards continue to stack up for Collin Morikawa, who has been named by the Golf Coaches Association of America to the All-Nicklaus Team presented by Barbasol. The 24 members of the team from Divisions I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA were recognized for their outstanding play during the 2017-18 collegiate season.

The All-Nicklaus Team was created in 2008, and is not only named for history's greatest player but also a long-time supporter of collegiate and amateur golf. Jack Nicklaus, a Big Ten and NCAA champion at The Ohio State University, helped inspire and create the Jack Nicklaus Award in 1988 and it is now presented to the National Player of the Year in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, as well as NAIA and NJCAA. Award recipients have combined for over 200 victories worldwide and claimed 23 major championships.

"It's an honor to be named to the All-Nicklaus team this year," Morikawa said. "I've learned so much the past three years at Cal and I'm excited to see what my senior year has in store for me. This past year was a year I'll never forget, but I'll have to keep working and getting better."

"It's a tremendous honor that Collin has been named to the All-Nicklaus team," Alex and Marie Shipman Director of Men's Golf Walter Chun said. "He continues to collect so many accolades, and that's a tribute to what he's accomplished and the goals he's set for himself. He's a special young man."
