Pac-12, Chase Center awarded 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball West Regional
SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 Conference, Chase Center and the Golden State Warriors have been awarded host site duties for the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship West Regional, the NCAA announced on Wednesday.
It marks the second successful host site bid by the Pac-12, Chase Center and the Warriors as the NCAA awarded the 2022 NCAA West Regional to the group in April 2017.
The 2022 event will mark the first time the NCAA Tournament will be played within the city of San Francisco since the West Regional was staged at the California Coliseum on Treasure Island in March 1939. Daly City's Cow Palace (1955, 1958-60), Oakland's Oracle Arena (1990, 1995, 2006) and San Jose's SAP Center (1997, 2002, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2019) are among the other Bay Area venues to host the tourney.
In addition to the Pac-12 and Chase Center being selected as hosts, 11 Conference members were awarded a combined 30 NCAA Championship events between 2023-2027 on Thursday.

"With world-class partners like the Warriors and Chase Center and through the leadership of our universities, we look forward to putting on exceptional events, including in some of the very best facilities in the nation."
Most notably, ARIZONA STATE will serve as host of the 2026 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, marking just the seventh time in the 45-year history of the event and first time since 2012 it will be staged in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones.
OREGON also added four years of host duties for the NCAA Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Championships at new Hayward Field from 2024-27 - the Ducks are now set to stage the event in six of the next seven years (2021-22, 2024-27).
