New York Life to continue as official presenting sponsor of the Pac-12 Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournaments as well as an official sponsor of Pac-12 Olympic sport championships

SAN FRANCISCO –  The Pac-12 announced today an extension of its partnership with New York Life. With the extension, New York Life will continue as the Pac-12’s official life insurance partner and official presenting sponsor of the 2021 Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments in Las Vegas, as well as an official sponsor of Pac-12 Olympic championship events, including beach volleyball, cross country, women’s gymnastics, men’s and women’s golf, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s rowing, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s tennis, track and field and wrestling. Today’s announcement continues New York Life’s partnership with the Pac-12, which began during the 2014-15 season and was previously extended during the 2017 season.

“We are excited to extend our landmark partnership with New York Life,” said Steve Tseng, Pac-12 Networks executive vice president of integrated sales.  “New York Life has played an important role in supporting our Pac-12 basketball tournaments and Olympic sports for many years, and we look forward to continuing to work together on behalf of Pac-12 student-athletes and New York Life customers and employees.”

“We are proud to continue the long-standing partnership between New York Life and the Pac-12,” explained David Williams, Corporate Vice President, Brand Advertising and Sponsorships at New York Life. “Beyond the obvious athletic excitement, we’ve succeeded in serving a variety of organizations and communities over the course of our relationship. We look forward to further collaboration as we continue this impactful work.”

As presenting sponsor of the two Pac-12 flagship basketball tournaments, New York Life will continue to receive on-court and in-arena branding as well as in-game promotional tie-ins, a full slate of media inventory, and digital assets and tune-in promotions throughout the tournaments airing on Pac-12 Networks, ESPN and FOX.  With limited or no fans in-arena at the tournaments over the next two weeks, New York Life's assets will only include onsite signage and branding this year.

New York Life will also be a presenting sponsor of the annual Pac-12 Symposium, a networking event bringing together students and recent graduates to interact with the Pac-12 and its business partners. The symposium is planned to be held beginning in 2022 at the Pac-12 Headquarters in San Francisco, CA, with the potential to branch out to Pac-12 campuses in future years.   In addition, beginning next year New York Life will host a Women’s Workshop, bringing together and highlighting exceptional women in leadership roles, including former student-athletes, university and conference leaders, Pac-12 Networks talent, and New York Life leaders.

The Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by New York Life, will be played March 3-7 at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, while the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament, presented by New York Life, will be played March 10-13, 2021 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

For the women’s tournament, Pac-12 Networks is set to provide live coverage of 10 of 11 games with the Pac-12 championship game on March 4 airing on ESPN.  For the men’s tournament, Pac-12 Networks is set to provide live coverage of seven games while ESPN is set to provide live coverage of three games, including the Pac-12 championship game.
